As the Dark courses throughout my veins
I am taken to the Glittering Plain.
The place where my reality turns to dreams
And, sadly, everything is exactly as it seems.
Joy is abandoned and all that is left it pain;
There is no pleasure in the Glittering Plain.
The Dark grows wings, and it begins to rain
Here, in the middle of the Plain.
It begins to soar, drawing in the Light.
The Dark consumes the day, bringing an endless night,
Until the light strikes back with a force that is bitter.
And once again the Plain starts to glitter.
The Dark and Light struggle in hopes to gain
Possession of the Glittering Plain.
Because of this, my life I fail to live;
For possession of the Plain I would gladly give.
Because, like the Dark and Light, I struggle in vain.
But unlike them, I struggle to leave the Glittering Plain.
